Sony VAIO TXN29N Laptop

The Sony VAIO TXN29N laptop model is another Sony computer made for performance. Besides the fact that this computer presents a small storage space, it is equipped with an Intel Core Solo, having the speed of 1.33 GHz, 2 GB of DDR2 memory and delivers great images through its 11.1 inch display, based on the TFT technology.

What is important to know about this computer is although it provides only 100 GB in the hard drive, it is considered to be a performant computer. Probably some users which think the hard drive is the most important part of a computer, will be a little disappointed by this model. But, as I said many times before, I repeat myself. Indeed, a computer’s hard disk drive is a very important internal component, but I would not describe it as the most important.

Along with the processor, the memory, the bus system, the channels, the hard drive is important too, but well connected to all the other components presented earlier. The display is also very important. How in the world do you think you’ll see a program (that is stored on the hard drive), if you don’t have a display and a processor that could control the operation and talk to the other components, using the buses, which are meant to transmit the information?

The Sony VAIO TXN29N notebook uses an U1500 processor, that is able to perform demanding tasks for its class. The computer is preinstalled with Microsoft Windows Vista Business operating system. Microsoft Vista OS takes a little from the hard drive space, being installed on the C: Drive. So, after installing the operating system, you will have less than 100 GB in the hard drive. So, you must start considering backup-ing your data from time to time, in order to keep the computer functioning. A failure of the hard drive could lead to a computer failure, so be careful.

Storage in your computer means disk drives. What kind of drive, how big and with what performance are questions having as many answers as any other component in your system. Be attentive, if you want to upgrade a Sony VAIO hard drive or to use external drives. You must purchase a disk drive that is compatible with the rest of the components. Usually, Sony don’t approve upgrading a VAIO drive, unless you use an external drive, but to install more hard drive in the computer it’s rather impossible.

The memory can be extended, but not the hard drive. So, if Sony provides 100 GB, then 100 GB you are going to use on this computer. That is why is imperative to backup data once in a while, because if a disaster occurs, God forbit, you might lose all the data stored in your computer.11
