Sony VAIO Prices

Sony VAIO computers usually are not so cheap. But their prices start from 500 dollars, let’s say for some old VAIO models and culminate with computers that could cost over 3000 dollars and maybe more. If you want your computer to be inlaid with diamonds, I have a slight guess that this will lead to a very, very expensive computer.

When you want to compare prices of a Sony VAIO computer with another’s VAIO computer, you must take into account that the computers may be different, may have different processors, bus systems, displays, channels, memories or other components. Sony equipps all its computers with almost the same technologies, but you have to consider that nowadays also CW computers are created along with TT computers, which are some of the latest computers designed by Sony. So, it is a tough job to compare Sony prices, because first of all you need to compare the computers.

And although a computer that is produced for two years, let’s say, has the same Blu-ray technology incorporated, as a computer that was released a month ago, you can’t compare those two models, because a two years old computer will never be as performant as a current computer. Because, you don’t compare only the Blu-ray disks that are inside of the computers, you must also compare the processors, the connections, the hard disks and many other internal components.

For example, a computer created five year ago maybe did not benefit of the power management system, like a current computer does now. So, if you can extend the memory capacity or the hard drive capacity, by using an external hard disk drive, you can’t make a computer to consume less power, unless that specific feature is already inside of it. You can’t upgrade an old computer, in order to look like a new computer. A new computer is like a 100% upgraded old computer. And when I say old, I don’t mean five years old or more.

Of course, you can compare a Sony VAIO price with another computer’s price, computer that is not created by Sony. But if there are differences between VAIO computers one with each other, you can imagine what differences are when talking about different computer brands. As I said at the beginning, Sony is well-known for selling its product not exactly cheap, but since the technologies are high-end, most of them being invented by Sony itself, I say the products worth the prices.

And one more thing, when you buy a Sony product, you don’t expect it to become old than after many years. When you buy other brand’s products, a better product can be available the next day after your purchasing. But with Sony products, the next day can bring an upgrade for the product, and if you need to keep up the rithm with the technology, you can improve the product.11
