No hard words can be said about HP designs. This manufacturer is famous from building its notebooks to look very professional end elegant. This notebook is a credit to HP’s name. Although we have seen this design previously on several HP laptops, we will say a few words of it. HP’s mastery in laptop designs is really impressive. The light gray glassy surfaces really shine and make your notebook worthy of a few hungry looks if you take it in public. The black keyboard gives a touch of seriousness to the laptop. The keyboard has an included number pad which is really great when entering numbers. The touch pad is sunk in pleasantly in the plain of the palm rest area. The display has superior image quality.

Performance

The HP Pavilion DV9920US easily fits into the entertainment or multimedia category. It has impressive performance features. The AMD Turion 64 X2 processor with mobile technology TL-60 behaves really well, its 2.0 GHz clock speed is enough to make this notebook fast and responsive. From the maximum supported 4 GB of RAM you will enjoy all 4 GB. HP decided to release this model with the maximum RAM amount, for which we can be grateful. The standard 5400 rpm Hard Disk Drive will provide you with 250 GB of storage space, which is enough for movies, music collections and pretty much everything you will want to store. The laptop only has a graphics chip, the NVIDIA GeForce 7150M, which has up to 1071.0 Shared video memory (UMA). To ensure you watch high quality movies HP put a 17.0 inch widescreen display on this notebook capable of showing a very good 1440 x 900 resolution depth.

Overall

This notebook is really a very good option for a future laptop with reasonable price. It does not have anything which will win any performance awards, but as usual from HP it has impressive performance features.
