Gateway ML6732

We have shown you several Gateway notebooks so far. Gateway is not as renowned as other big manufacturers and because of this in some cases it may offer better prices than them, so always look out for the Gateway notebooks. Today’s chosen member is Gateway ML6732.

Design:

The exterior of this laptop is a bit discrete, but it doesn’t look bad. The simple lines help it reduce costs and its curved corners give it a pleasant look. The keyboard is easy to use and the glossy screen produces bright and vibrant colors. The touch pad is a bit small, it will take some time to get used to it. The notebook itself is pretty solid, mostly because it is a bit thicker than the usual, which means it will be a bit heavier than the thin high tech notebooks from other manufacturers, but that’s just a compromise for a possibly lower price.

Performance:

Gateway ML6732 is a good little laptop. It has an Intel Pentium T2370 processor in it, which delivers a healthy 1.73 GHz clock speed. It won’t fly out the window, but it runs steady and fast. The standard 3 GB Random Access Memory is well enough for the tasks this notebook can handle, but the notebook can support a maximum of 4 GB so you can upgrade it if you want, it will certainly improve a bit on the laptop’s speed. The 320 GB Hard Disk Drive is better than amazing for a notebook with such an average performance, it is a whole lot of storage space for you on a 5400 rpm HDD to maintain great file handling speed.

The display is a 15.4 inch screen, glossy as we have previously mentioned and it has a native 1280 x 800 resolution depth, which is just about consistent with an average category 15 inch display. This notebook was not built for advanced 3D graphics, so it only has an integrated Intel GMA X3100 graphics chip, which still has up to 384 MB of shared memory, so if you persist on trying it for games you will be surprised that it actually runs a few average graphic games pretty good.

Overall:

For an average dual core laptop this is a fine choice. It can be used for business, student purposes, or even multimedia. It is a nice notebook for a reasonable price.11
