Some say it doesn’t manufacture such an exceptional quality as the leading giants, but the truth is in today’s filled competitive market it is really hard to take up the race with the leading brands. Gateway does manufacture good laptops and it has released quite a few good machines over the past few years. We’re going to show you a gateway laptop, with all its positives and negatives. Design:

Although you cannot find anything eccentric on its design, you will notice that it is fairly elegant and good looking. The shiny surfaces and the colored chassis (it can be ordered in multiple colors) give it a modern and professional look. Regardless of the chassis color the touch pad is black, which gives it a certain distinction from the rest of the notebook. The keyboard has a gray color, which blends in pleasantly with its surroundings, so the whole notebook looks as if it was painted with high contrasts.

Performance:

This is not a weak machine. The Gateway M152S has an Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 processor with 1.83 GHz clock speed. This is an average dual core processor, don’t expect it to perform miracles, but still it will run this notebook like a charm. The maximum available 2 GB of Random Access Memory also helps it to be stable and useful. You’ll have a 15.4 inch widescreen display with a native 1280 x 800 resolution depth, equipped with the Ultrabright feature to ensure good brightness properties. The available 160 GB storage space is on a fast 5400 rpm Hard Disk Drive. The integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100 will give you up to 284 MB of dynamically shared video memory, but do not expect it to run high quality games, because it is not a graphics processor. As a pleasant extra you will have a dual layer DVD writer with it, which comes very handy when transporting large files like movies.
